ניתן לפתח את פונקציית המהירות כתלות בזמן מהגדרת התאוצה.
דוגמה: גוף נע בתאוצה שגודלה 3 מטר לשנייה, מהירותו ההתחלתית היא 2 מטר לשנייה.
נחשב את מהירות הגוף כעבור 3 שניות מרגע תחילת תנועתו.
