يُظهر الميزان الرقمي القوة التي يؤثر بها الجسم الموضوع عليه 'N.  

من قانون الثالث لنيوتن، فإن مقدار القوة 'N تساوي مقدار القوة الطبيعية N التي يُشغلها الميزان الرقمي على مغناطيس حدوة الحصان.
