الجسم مشحون بشحنة موجبة، وتؤثر القوة الكهربائية على الجسم في اتجاه الحقل إلى اليسار، في اتجاه عمودي على الحركة. 

بما أن الجسم يتحرك بسرعة ثابتة، فإن محصلة القوى المؤثرة على الجسم تساوي صفرًا، لذلك فإن القوة الخارجية تؤثر عكس اتجاه الحقل إلى اليمين.
