א- כדי לא לשרוף את הנורה, התלמיד צריך למקם תחילה את המגע הנייד Q בקצה N ולא בקצה M , כך שההתנגדות השקולה ההתחלתית תהיה מקסימאלית והזרם ההתחלתי יהיה מינימאלי.

ב- כדי למצוא את התנגדות הנגד המשתנה כאשר הנורות דולקות באורן המלא, נניח שהמתח על כל נורה הוא 3 וולט והנורות דולקות באורן המלא ונמצא את התנגדות הנגד המשתנה במצב זה.
