ينتج كل من اللوحين حقلًا كهربائيًا متجانسًا له نفس المقدار. 

في المنطقتين א' و- ג'   يعمل الحقلان في اتجاهين متعاكسين. وبما أن الحقلان متساويان في المقدار، فإن شدة الحقل الكهربائي في هاتين المنطقتين تساوي صفر نيوتن لكل كولون. 

في المنطقة ב' ، يعمل الحقلان إلى اليسار، بنفس الاتجاه. قمنا بحساب شدة الحقل الناتج عن كل لوح في البند 25.1، وقمنا بحساب شدة الحقل الكهربائي المحصّل في المنطقة  ב'.
