א- לאחר סגירת המפסק מתקבל מעגל חשמלי בו הנגד R2 מקוצר וגם הנגד R3 מקוצר.
ההתנגדות השקולה של המעגל שווה להתנגדות של הנגד R1.
ב- נחשב את זרם המקור מחוק אוהם :

ג- הנגד R1 מחובר בקצהו הימני לפוטנציאל החיובי של הסוללה.
והפוטנציאל בקצהו השמאלי של הנגד R1 שווה לפוטנציאל ההדק השלילי של הסוללה.
לכן, המתח על הנגד R1 שווה למתח הדקי הסוללה האידיאלית, שווה לכא"מ הסוללה 30 וולט.
